This desk is built primarily from hard maple, with rosewood accents, and an ebony drawer pull and finished with a classic maloof style finish. The hand planed surface is perfectly sheared creating the ultra glassy finish that will withstand the ages. The accent joint for the leg is jyuji mechigai tsugi, a hand cut Japanese timber framing joint that mates two pieces together on the vertical plane in seamless fashion. This is a phenomenal small desk build for the modern work from home era.
